Trustee Visits to Schools

As the new Chair of Trustees, I have been visiting the schools within our trust this half term, accompanied on some of the visits by our new trustees. During our visits, we have had the opportunity to tour the schools with each Headteacher.  This half term we have had a particular focus on the Early Years environments and considered in our Achievement & Curriculum meeting what each school needs to ensure that it can offer high quality outdoor learning which enhances the learning and play that takes place in the classroom. We also had the chance to enjoy lunch with the children in some of our schools and it has been brilliant to hear their experience. I believe that being in school during the day is a fantastic way for our trustees to gain a deeper understanding of the excellent work happening in our classrooms and to connect with our pupils. All the trustees and I would particularly like to thank our Headteachers for making us feel so welcomed and are very grateful to the staff in every school for their continued efforts and high expectations.
